We do a rib roast every Christmas, last two years have bought from creekstone farms, The meat is superior to prime rib at twice the cost. Great product!
made prime rib with au jus, the flavor was incredible!!
I ordered a Christmas prime rib to arrive the week before Christmas, because I like my holiday plans like my beef: properly timed and not rock-solid frozen.
Delivery day rolls around and I get the dreaded email: Delayed. Arriving Christmas Eve. Lovely. A frozen roast landing that late is about as useful as a chocolate teapot, so I rang customer service.
They were upfront: they hadn’t anticipated the sheer tidal wave of orders, and they were trying to overnight as much as humanly possible… but couldn’t promise mine would make the next shipment. Fair enough, honestly, with a price that competitive for Prime Black Angus, I’m not shocked everyone and their dog clicked “add to cart.”
Still, what did sting: I wish I’d been told a few days earlier when it clearly hadn’t shipped when it should’ve. I’ve ordered from Snake River Farms and 6666 Ranch plenty, so this being my first go with Creekstone, my eyebrow was… raised.
Enter Carl (or Kyle, forgive me, Christmas was happening). The man sounded absolutely knackered and under siege, yet he was genuinely kind and promised he’d see what he could do.
Less than an hour later, he calls back:“You’re on the overnight shipment.”
Reader, Christmas was saved.
And the beef? Outstanding. Proper “why am I even chewing, this is magnificent” territory.
So yes — initial wobble, but customer service came through at peak stress o’clock, and the quality delivered in a big way. I’ll be back — for the beef and for the calm, heroic energy of a very tired Carl/Kyle.
10/10.
I have gotten several prime rib roasts from Creekstone Fsrms and they are normally excellent but this one was just ok. Kind of tough and not their normal quality.
Perfect as always.
This has become the standard for all Christmas dinners.
