2014 Taste of Derby Creekstone Farms Chef Showdown

The Fifth Annual Taste of Derby was held on Thursday, May 1, starting at 7:00 pm. This event, which attracts more than 1,250 guests is a celebration of cuisine, racing and style where guests had the opportunity to mingle with horseracing celebrities and experience an evening of exquisite cuisine from popular horseracing destinations across the country as nationally renowned chefs from these cities serve samples of their signature dishes paired with delectable wines! 

This year, Creekstone Farms Premium Black Angus Beef presented the fourth annual "Chef Showdown" at Taste of Derby where three culinary student finalists from Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky competed for a $5,000 scholarship by creating a potentially award-winning dish in 20 minutes. The winner this year who took home the $5,000 prize was Whitney Fontaine - congratulations Whitney!
