Creekstone Farms Cattle Procurement Director Receives Prestigious 40 Under 40 Award
Creekstone Farms Premium Beef, a well-recognized brand supplying premium USDA-certified beef and pork products, today announces that its Director of Cattle Procurement, Ryan Meyer, was named to 2015’s “40 Under 40” by Farm Journal Media. The award, given every year, honors the most innovative young leaders in the agricultural industry, and recognizes their accomplishments for helping to meet the growing demand for food production, which will need to double by the year 2050 to keep up with population growth.

Meyer, a graduate from Kansas State University in Agricultural Economics is now head of Cattle Procurement, contracting and risk management at Creekstone Farms. He is faced with concerns of demand destruction from record high cattle and beef prices. It’s Meyer’s expertise in supply chain management that positions him to help solve this issue by finding a balance between consumer competitive pricing and producer profitability.
Farm Journal Media’s “40 Under 40” Awards recognizes young trailblazers who have made tremendous strides in the advancement from animal and crop production, biotechnology and university researchers to food and nutrition technology, agricultural equipment, agronomy and beyond.
