Creekstone Farms Sponsors Chef Throwdown at Taste of Derby 2013

Creekstone Farms was a proud sponsor at the Fourth Annual Taste of Derby on Thursday, May 2  This event which kicks off the Kentucky Derby weekend attracts more than 1,250 guests. This celebration of cuisine, racing and style gives attendees an opportunity to mingle with horseracing celebrities and experience an evening of exquisite cuisine from popular horseracing destinations across the country as nationally renowned chefs from these cities serve samples of their signature dishes paired with delectable wines! Creekstone Farms Premium Black Angus Beef also presented the third annual "Chef Showdown" at Taste of Derby where three culinary student finalists from Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky, competed for a $5,000 scholarship by creating a potentially award-winning dish in 20 minutes. Chef Don Matutina took home the grand title and $5,000 prize as you can see here in this great video from the event.
