Fan for life

Having tried Omaha Steaks in the distant past, I thought that frozen, mail-order steaks were just bad, gamey and tough. I've unfortunately become a fan of prime steak houses in the middle (and more affluent) part of my adulthood, and once you've started down that road, no other steaks can compare. One might even call me a steak snob now. But a friend who I used to dine with at Del Frisco's bought me a box of Creekstone NY strips as a thank you gift, and...wow. Hands down the best steaks I've had without paying $55 at a restaurant, and that includes my attempts to buy unfrozen prime steaks locally. There's nothing like knowing you have a box of these in the freezer and are always only a couple of hours away from an amazing, restaurant-quality steak dinner.

Wrong Product Received

Ordered 6 sirloins for a family camping trip, but received 4 ribeyes instead. "Misteaks" happen , but the feedback I submitted on the mix up has gone unanswered for over a week. Second time Creekstone has flubbed an order for me. Product quality is usually top shelf, but customer service is not.

OMG!

These steaks were fantastic. I gave them the perfect cook & they were so juicy & flavorful. I defrosted them, then salted them 2 hours in advance & put back in the refrigerator. This allowed the juices to come out & then pull the salt into the meat. After 2 hours the steaks were dry. I then lightly seasoned them & let them sit out for 15 minutes. Then seared on a hot grill with high heat about 2 minutes per side, put them on indirect heat until the steak temp was 125 degrees, let them rest for 5minutes. The results, raves & moans thought the entire meal.
