Perfect Quality Every Time

This pork is always a crowd pleaser. It’s my go to every time. The trimming is easy thanks to the great prep work already done.

I may revise the review after cooking these durac pork butts, but for now i am not thrilled.

These were very small butts. I have ordered many things from creekstone, and have been very happy with almost all the meat i have received. The tres major is some of my favorite beef i have eaten. But after spending $230 on 4, i was shocked by how small they are. I do quite a bit of smoking pork butts and they are about half the size of a regular butt. I have ordered duroc pork from creekstone several times before and these are tiny in comparison. I have not weighed them yet.

Top Quality

I ordered 2 each bone in pork butts based on recommendations. They arrived well packaged in ice packs. I put them in the refrigerator for 24 hours to completely thaw. I applied my pork rub, smoked them on my Pitts and Spitts Maverick 1200 @ 190F overnight for 10 hours, then wrapped them in a foil boat with braising liquid, increased the temp to 275F and smoked them for another 4 hours until the internal temperature reached 202F. The taste was outstanding. Creek Stone Farms will be my go to source for pork!

We have purchased Creekstone pork many times, the product never has disappointed us. Any cooking method we use (bbq, roasted, etc) it is perfect.

Suggestion- to save packaging material and cost - you can nix the complementary insulated bag.
