Ingredients
8 Slices of Bacon
4 Krispy Kreme Donuts
1lb (4 each) Creekstone Farms Brisket Blend Burger Pucks
4 Slices White American Cheese
Kozlik’s Amazing Maple Mustard
KC Canning Co. Dilly Pickles
Directions
Preheat your Yoder Smokers YS640s Pellet Grill to 450ºF with the diffuser plate removed and the Yoder Smokers Griddle installed over the fire box.
Cook the bacon on the griddle until browned but not too crispy.
Slice the donuts in half like burger buns. Toast in the bacon fat until golden brown.
Smash each of the burger pucks onto the griddle with a piece of parchment paper on top to prevent sticking until the patty is thin enough to match the size of the donut.
Season the patties with the Meat Church Blanco Seasoning. Leave the door of the grill open.
When the patties are well seared and browned, flip, then season again and add a slice of cheese on top.
Cook until the cheese is melted and the bottom of the patty is browned.
To build the burgers, spread the bottom half of the donut with the Kozlik’s Amazing Maple Mustard. Top with KC Canning Co. Dilly Pickles. Place the burger patty on top, then top with two slices of bacon and the top half of the donut.

Recipe Note
The Smashburger, as a food item, has a rich history deeply rooted in American culinary tradition. Dating back to the early 20th century, the concept of "smashing" burgers onto a hot griddle has been a popular method for achieving that quintessential juicy and flavorful burger experience. While the exact origins are debated, it's widely believed that this technique emerged in diners and burger joints across the United States, where cooks would press patties onto grills using spatulas or heavy weights. The result was a burger with a deliciously caramelized exterior and a tender, juicy interior. Over time, this simple yet effective cooking method became a beloved staple in the burger world, inspiring countless variations and adaptations. Today, the Smashburger remains a cherished classic, symbolizing the timeless appeal of American comfort food.
